The Onyx

House Information

Welcome to The Onyx! We hope you enjoy your stay and have a wonderful time exploring the Margaret River Region.

We want you to get out and enjoy the property, but we ask you stay to the western side of the car park and black storage container, for your own privacy. The owners who live in the front shed-house have two children, Hendrik(7yrs) and Odin(2yrs) who you also might hear now and then, but they always try to limit any disturbances to guests. Please keep this in mind when driving in and out of the property as well. 10km/hr driving speed please.

The owners also have a kelpie puppy named Rusty, he will come and say hello to you every now and then.

Mobile Reception

There is very little Telstra reception on Heron Drive. Most people find they have little to no Telstra reception on our property. The wifi signal is great, and there are no problems with Optus.

Residents and visitors are responsible for understanding and abiding by all fire restrictions. Penalties for non-compliance apply.

For more information, please visit the "Burning Periods and Fire Danger Ratings" section on the Shire Augusta & Margaret River website

Rubbish / Bins

There are 3 bins outside the shed, shared with the owners. Please make sure to put your rubbish in the bins before you leave so we can avoid ants from moving in.

  • The bin with the yellow lid is for recycling.

  • The bin with the red lid is for all other general waste.

  • The bin with the light green lid is for all organic waste including food scraps.

Smoke Alarms

This is fitted with a hard wired smoke alarm(s) with a battery back-up. Excessive smoke from cooking may set off the alarm. To turn off press the central button for a short period of time.
