The Margaret River region isn’t just renowned for its food, wine and surf, but for its beautiful forests, natural scenery and nature based activities.

CAPE TO CAPE TRACK

Choose to complete the 123km walk from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to Cape Naturalist Lighthouse or pick and choose the bits that fancy you the most. Expect coastal and forest views, ancient rock formations and beautiful wildflowers.

CAVES

The South West is home to over 100 limestone caves with only a handful open for tourism. Take a guided tour or navigate on your own while marvelling at the crystal formations below the ground.

BORANUP FOREST

Just south of Margaret River lays a forest filled with Karri Trees stretching over 60 meters high. Stop at Karri lookout or venture further south along Boranup Drive and be amazed with the stunning photograph opportunities.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Margaret River is fast becoming a renowned mountain biking destination with tracks perfect for beginners all the way through to the more advanced. If riding isn’t your thing pop down and watch the iconic Cape to Cape MTB race held every year.

LIGHTHOUSES

Visit Australia’s tallest lighthouse at Cape Leeuwin or head north to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views across the National Park and Geographe Bay. With so many heat wrenching stories of survival its the perfect place to take home a piece of South West history.

WHALE WATCHING

From June to December you can expect to see Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales travelling up and down our coastline. Hop on board a tour, watch from the shore, or even spot them from the top of one of our lighthouses.
