Margaret River Bars

Following on from our Margaret River Restaurant guide, here are our top picks of Bars in town to help you find your perfect place to stop in for a drink pre or post dinner!

Margaret River Distilling Company

For something a bit different, just 5mins drive from the centre of town we suggest a visit to the Margaret River Distilling Company. It is home to Giniversity Gin, the award-winning Limeburners Single Malt Whisky and Tiger Snake Sour Mash Whiskey. Enjoy a tasting of their award winning spirits or sit on the deck with a refreshing gin and tonic, cocktail or warming whisky in hand. TIP: Check out their Friday Special - $8 G&T’s and $10 pizzas from 4pm-6:30pm!

Pearl’s Bar

One of the newest and conveniently located at the top of town. Fab cocktail and wine selection and a selection of small plates to go along with them. Get in early to nab a seat under the front patio and it’s pooch-friendly too! 4pm til late Thursday - Mondays.

Brewhouse

It’s all about the beer here, at Margaret River’s very own micro brewery! A short walk from the town centre on the north bank of the river, just cross the bridge and you’re almost there. It’s a great relaxed setting to sit back and enjoy a brew or two while settling in for an arvo session.

Pizzica

Most know Pizzica as a pizza restaurant, but they also have a great little bar area were they serve some delicious Italian inspired cocktails and local & Italian beers. The bar has a great vibe. TIP: Make this your first stop for a pre-dinner drink on your way up the road for dinner at one of the many great restaurants or arrive early for dinner at the pizzeria itself, take a seat in the bar and enjoy an Aperol Spritz before you’re seated at your table.

Rhum Burgundy

Another new kid on the block, this one is the brainchild behind LS Merchants owners Dylan & Taryn and infamous mixologist Billy. Upstairs balcony for people watching in the main street or stay downstairs and be entertained all night by the cocktail-mixing magic!

Swings Margaret River

The bar area has an open woodfire which is a favourite spot of ours to stop by for a glass or two of their Backyard Stories Chardonnay by the fire in the cooler seasons. They have a great drinks menu and feature wine on tap. TIP: While sipping on a wine after a long day out exploring the region, order a pizza to take-away back to your holiday house for dinner.

Settlers Tavern

‘The Tav’ is a great spot for an afternoon drink out in the front courtyard in the sun. Whether your tipple is a wine, beer, cider or cocktail ‘The Tav’ have you covered. Featuring their very own Margaret River Ale Company brews on tap and an award winning wine list, The Tav is a favourite spot for locals and tourists alike. TIP: If you book a tour with Walk Talk Taste Margaret River you may be lucky enough to get behind the scenes access to their cellar!

Delicious Margarita cocktails at Yonder Bar

Yonder

This is a true small bar. There is no food served at Yonder just yummy cocktails and great vibes. This retro little bar is small but has a great bar atmosphere and is a cool stop for a cocktail or can of beer before dinner at one of our Margaret River Restaurants!

Morries

We love Morries, it is a great spot for a late afternoon drink and some shared small plates of food, perfect for unwinding after a busy morning out exploring the regions caves & coastline. Great cocktails, plus a good selection of local wines and beer are on offer. TIP: If you are in a small group, sit up at the bar and watch the bartenders in action, shaking up a storm while whipping up one of their many delicious cocktails creations.

Enjoying a local gin & tonic at The River Hotel

The River

A short stroll from the main street of Margaret River town lies The River Hotel. The River is a great spot for a drink all year round as there is a sunny courtyard area out the front for the warmer days and a cosy front bar area with open woodfire for those cooler winter days and nights. Offering a large array of wines, whiskey and beer you’ll always find what you’re looking for at the bar.
