Fire Restrictions
At certain times of the year in Western Australia, the Shire imposes restrictions on fire pits (including campfires), depending on the season and the current fire danger rating. The season starts from the 9th of November to the 12th of May.
Residents and visitors are responsible for understanding and abiding by all fire restrictions. Penalties for non-compliance apply.
For more information, please visit the "Burning Periods and Fire Danger Ratings" section on the Shire Augusta & Margaret River website
Amenities
We like to provide you with an initial supply of toilet paper, body wash, oil, salt and pepper sachets, tea bags, coffee sachets, bin liners, dishwashing liquid, washing powder etc. upon arrival. These items are complementary and additional supplies of these are available at any of the three supermarkets in town River Fresh IGA, Coles and Woolworths.
Louvers on balcony
When closing the timber louvers on the balcony, please make sure you close the louver shutters first before sliding the panels closed. If the louver slats stay open they will catch on the frame as you slide them close and may break.
Herb Garden
When in season, please feel free to help yourselves to the herbs growing in the wicking beds (parsley, sage, basil, thyme...) in Autumn/Winter time they seem to be growning like crazy.
